30 paintings in 30 days

I set myself the task of completing 30 paintings in 30 days from march 1-30 2008 and this blog is a blow by blow account of that process. at the end of the 30 days i got a bunch of volunteers together to take the work to the streets.

the 30 paintings were unveiled at art melbourne 08 in april. if you still want your piece of the jigsaw, you'll get your chance at art sydney 08 october 24-26.

day 30 - i'm done...

...well almost just a few small details left. sorry i haven't posted much detail in the last few days but it's been busy. we took heaps of photos though which i'll put up tomorrow in a wrap up post.

we arw going to be judging the name the 30 paintings competition tonight so get your entries is asap

day 27 - not long now

sorry to be brief but i'm exhausted.

day 26 - the end in sight

it the end of the day and i have painted and painted in the rain the whale thing it looking cool and i finally finished a whole lot more today. i'm now confident about finishing up on sunday i only have the finishing touches to put onto around 10 more canvases which shouldn't be to hard. and then my plan is to go over each piece individually and to finish it off on saturday.

day 25 - the story so far

day 24 - back to the grindstone

brush back in hand, need to stop all this admin stuff and get back to painting.

we hope to have some group photo of all the works as done to date up later today, people have been asking to see it so that can name it and enter the competition and name the work which if fair enough. i'll do my best to get it up today but it may end but being a little later as painting the thing has become my number one priority
