30 paintings in 30 days

I set myself the task of completing 30 paintings in 30 days from march 1-30 2008 and this blog is a blow by blow account of that process. at the end of the 30 days i got a bunch of volunteers together to take the work to the streets.

the 30 paintings were unveiled at art melbourne 08 in april. if you still want your piece of the jigsaw, you'll get your chance at art sydney 08 october 24-26.

day 03 - design end day 3

the design for these paintings is hooting along

it's a little boring at the moment just me sitting at my computer but i'm having lots of fun with the new characters and trying to make each canvas interesting as well as the whole piece work.

 

day 03 - 1st paint on canvas

I technically put this paint on the canvas yesterday but didn't have time to put it up last night so I have put it on first thing this morning

at this stage it is still rough but it is good to not just be looking at blank canvas

also this is just the 1st 4 canvases in the 30, so you get some idea of the scale of the work

the design has really kicked along this morning heaps of new characters have worked their way in.
